Dow Pack Studios Shanghai is a full-service facility located at the Zhangjiang High-Tech Park, Shanghai, China. We connect you to the right experts, technologies, and facilities to support business growth and drive innovation within the region and the global market. Regardless of whether you are a brand owner, converter, or compounder, Pack Studios Shanghai covers the entire value chain, from resin characterization, film fabrication to package prototyping.

Making an impact with a sustainability advantage

Since 2018, Pack Studios Mumbai has continuously accelerated regional application development projects. To date, our facilities have hosted over 50 customers for specific project discussions and trials.
 

These collaborations have led to multiple success cases across India within the last few years. In 2020, waste management company Lucro partnered with Dow, using Pack Studios Mumbai to develop and launch polyethylene (PE) film solutions using PCR plastics. The partnership will help divert 6,000 tons of waste from the environment, creating new business opportunities with best practices that result in cleaner communities.

Our center is equipped with the latest packaging technology, allowing you to conceptualize, develop and test ideas on-site from one of the most centralized locations in India. Pack Studios Mumbai possesses multiple fabrication lines, physical testing equipment and leading characterization technologies. We support external customers and internal scientists covering every step of the packaging process, from product validation and application development to packaging innovation and recyclability research that support sustainability goals.

Our focus areas are next generation polyolefin and barrier structures for multiple packaging applications, including all PE laminates, recycle ready barrier films and structures with PCR.
