Dow Sustainability Corps/Global Disaster Relief
Michelle Langley is currently the program leader of the Dow Sustainability Corps (DSC) for The Dow Chemical Company. DSC is a skills-based employee engagement initiative that deploys the capabilities and expertise of Dow employees on external projects and programs addressing sustainable development challenges and opportunities.
Michelle also leads the development and implementation of Dow’s humanitarian response to global natural disasters.
Michelle began her career at Dow in 2006, serving as a customer service representative for Chemicals Distribution. From 2007-2011, she served as employee communications manager for Michigan Operations. In 2009, she assumed an additional role as Dow’s North America United Way program leader. In 2011, she was named business communications manager for Dow Plastics Additives, a business within the Performance Materials Division. In March, 2012-2013, she assumed additional responsibilities to lead and implement STEM initiative programs at Dow sites across North America.
Prior to her Dow career, Michelle held various roles in broadcasting, including associate program director, news director, and on-air personality for NextMedia WGER 106.3, and local host for National Public Radio’s Morning Edition program at Delta College Quality Public Broadcasting.
Michelle currently serves on the International Corporate Volunteerism Leadership Council and United Way of Midland County Communications Committee. She previously served on the Midland Chamber Foundation Board of Directors and United Way Worldwide Council.
Michelle holds a B.A. degree in communications from Saginaw Valley State University and a broadcasting certificate from Delta College.
