Supply Chain at Dow supports the flow of materials into Dow for manufacturing, on-site logistics operations, and deliveries to our customers. Dow employees in Supply Chain provide transportation management services as well as safe and reliable product handling in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Professional Roles

Logistics Management

Handles product import/export and ensures compliance with Customs and international regulations.

Supply Chain Site Services

Provides site transportation safety and security management, product packing and container loading, terminal and warehouse selection and management, and inventory management.

Supply Chain Business Processes

Works with Dow businesses to help them achieve supply chain performance objectives. Assists with planning and scheduling, material data coding, handling customer complaints including full resolution, and delivering customer supply chain data and analysis.

Consulting

Identifies supply chain opportunities for Dow businesses, develops implementation plans and deliverables to achieve desired results, and maintains continuous management with on-demand support personnel.

CO-OPS & INTERNSHIPS

CHAIN INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Dow is looking for highly motivated and passionate individuals to fill positions with the Supply Chain organization, where you can learn, develop, collaborate and build relationships in a diverse and global environment. At Dow, interns are an important part of the team. Dow Supply Chain Operations provide experiences in designing or optimizing distribution networks, implementing supply and demand management improvements and/or supporting logistics and purchasing operations.

Internship Details

  • Duration is three to six months
  • Potential project areas include supply chain management, logistics and purchasing

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, science, supply chain or logistics
  • Excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • High degree of initiative
  • Ability to work with international groups

DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

SUPPLY CHAIN ROTATIONAL PROGRAM

The Supply Chain Rotational Program provides candidates the opportunity to gain exposure and work experience in different types of work within the Supply Chain organization.

Supply Chain Rotational Program Details

  • Experience rotation assignments that provide the ability to explore the various aspects of Supply Chain and Purchasing
  • Learn best practices and processes that help you develop your skills and critical competencies for a successful career at Dow
  • Develop a meaningful relationship with at least one mentor who guides you through the program
  • At the end of the rotational program, you will be transitioned into one of the Supply Chain functions or businesses

Who We are Looking for

Graduates with a Bachelor‘s or Master‘s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, and Logistics. APICS and Six Sigma certifications are beneficial.

Assignments During Program

Each assignment varies depending on the interests of the individual and the needs of the organization. Possible assignments include roles in logistics, supply chain planning and scheduling, purchasing services, manufacturing operations, and work processes enhancements.

As a participant, your rotational assignments will allow you to develop expertise and leadership in one or more of the following Supply Chain functions:

  • Purchasing
  • Supply Chain

In addition to the functions listed above, the Business Services/Supply Chain Rotational Program in Europe, Middle East, and Africa provides candidates the opportunity to have assignments in Information Systems and Laboratory and Office Facilities Management. Opportunities to participate also exist in Dow’s other geographic regions.

DOW BUSINESS SERVICES ROTATIONAL PROGRAM

The Dow Business Services Rotational Program provides candidates the opportunity to gain exposure and work experience in different types of work within the Business Services organization.

  • Experience rotation assignments that provide the ability to explore the various aspects of Purchasing and Information Systems dependent upon degree and interest. Participant will gain a well-rounded perspective of Dow and Business Services.
  • Learn best practices and processes that help you develop your skills and critical competencies for a successful career at Dow.
  • Develop a meaningful relationship with at least one mentor who guides you through the program.

Who We are Looking for

Graduates with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or Information Systems. Six Sigma certification is beneficial.

Assignments During Program

Each assignment varies depending on the interests of the individual and the needs of the organization. Possible assignments include various roles in Purchasing, I/S Technical Center, Service Management, Expertise Center, Operations, or Security.
