Provides relocation counsel and support to employees who accept development assignments outside their home location.

Human Resources Information Systems

Designs, develops and implements world-class, global information systems and solutions to enhance HR organizational effectiveness and business success. Serves as experts in providing technology solutions for HR tasks and initiatives.

Strategic HR Partners

Serve as trusted partners and consultants to senior leaders within the global businesses and functions to determine the people strategy within Dow. Provide consultation to others in HR to establish practices that invest in Dow people and enable the creation of solutions that reshape our world.

Talent Acquisition

Provides targeted recruiting expertise, programs, and procedures to attract, select and deploy the best talent to create innovative solutions that respond to the world’s challenges. Also works to continuously strengthen Dow’s employer reputation.

Talent Management

Provides consultation on leadership effectiveness and employee development to align with Dow's culture of investing to bring out the best in people. Develops and implements learning resources across the company and designs and implements Dow’s Performance Management Systems.

Workforce Planning

Serves as strategic experts to ensure that the right talent is in the right place at the right time. Plans for future workforce needs by analyzing internal and external talent.

Organizational Effectiveness

Provides consultation on organizational design and effectiveness. Optimizes work processes to enhance flexibility and change readiness in promotion of Dow’s culture of innovation.

Co-Ops & Internships

HR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

If you are an exceptional student and have a passion for understanding how optimizing human capital investment can drive business success, then consider joining the Dow Human Resources Internship Program.

Interns lead challenging projects that align to Dow’s strategic priorities and are designed to provide practical skills-based development in HR technology and philosophy. You will experience broad exposure to the HR function, one-on-one interaction with Senior HR Leadership, and have the opportunity to interact with a global team while gaining insight to the Dow culture.

The duration of the HR Internship Program is approximately three months. Successful interns will be considered for the Human Resources Leadership Development Program post-graduation.

Who We are Looking for

We are looking for someone who is results oriented, self-initiated, curious with a strong motivation and capacity to learn, tolerant of ambiguity, comfortable with change, open to new experiences including assignments in different locations, customer focused, innovative, collaborative, and has superior communication & interpersonal skills.

You should hold a bachelor, or master, level degree in the following disciplines:

DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

HR LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

If you are a recent graduate with a talent and passion for designing and implementing people management processes that bring out the best in people, then consider joining the Dow HR Leadership Development Program (HRLDP). This program provides early career experiences across multiple areas of Human Resources. Participants gain insight into the Dow culture through challenging assignments, exposure to senior HR leaders and structured learning programs.

Duration of Program

The HR Leadership Development Program consists of unique assignments over a two-year period. HRLDP participants are based at Dow's Global Headquarters in Midland, Michigan with the possibility of one rotational experience at a separate North American location.

Leadership Assignments During the Program

Assignments in the HR Leadership Development Program are designed to provide foundational knowledge and experiences for a unique and rewarding career at Dow. They are also designed to support you in making a difference and creating a better future for our world. Most importantly, all of the initiatives you will be working on align to company-wide HR priorities. This ensures that the results you produce will have a real impact on the company’s goals and strategy.

Completion of the Program

The HR Leadership Development Program opens the door to diverse opportunities within the HR function and a rewarding career at Dow. Upon completion of the HR Leadership Development Program, employees typically move into site HR Manager roles that provide opportunities to apply foundational learning from their leadership assignments. Employees in these roles apply core consultation skills and experience how programs and offerings are developed then implemented.
