UCAR™ ADF Concentrate

UCAR™ ADF Concentrate is an ethylene glycol-based fluid containing water, corrosion inhibitors, wetting agents and an orange dye. Aqueous solutions of UCAR ADF Concentrate are used to assist in removing ice, snow, and frost from the exterior surfaces of aircraft. Certain unique mixtures of UCAR ADF Concentrate with water enable the fluid to be applied to large high-speed jet aircraft down to -45°C (-49°F). UCAR ADF Concentrate dilutions also have the lowest total Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), the lowest applied fluid cost, and the greatest operational latitude.

UCAR ADF Concentrate nominally contains approximately 92.0% by weight ethylene glycol. UCAR ADF Concentrate must be mixed with the appropriate amount of water before use to make a UCAR ADF aqueous solution with the desired freezing point.

Conformance to Industry Standards
UCAR ADF Concentrate conforms to all technical requirements of the Society of Automotive Engineers Aerospace Material Specification1 (SAE AMS) 1424 for Aircraft Deicing/Anti-icing Fluid SAE Type I, the Douglas CSD #1 Type VI specification, revised May 1988, and the Boeing D6-17487 specification, revision L. Copies of certificates of conformance issued by independent laboratories are available upon request.
