Dow Europe Announces Price Increase for Latex Horgen, Switzerland - May 15, 2006 Effective June 1, 2006, or as contract terms allow, Dow Europe GmbH is increasing the price on all grades of latex sold to the paper, carpet, paint, construction and adhesives industries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India, by 10 to 15 percent. “We continue to experience an unprecedented escalation in raw material costs,” says Giuliano Tomassi, Commercial Director for Dow Latex, Europe, IMA. “That combined with the soaring utilities costs continue to put intense upward pricing pressure on our Latex business.” Dow is a diversified chemical company that harnesses the power of science and technology to improve living daily.
