Dow Increases Prices for Emulsion Polymer Technologies

Horgen, Switzerland - July 15, 2008

Effective August 1, 2008, or as contracts permit, Dow Emulsion Polymers, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) and its affiliates including Dow Europe GmbH is increasing prices on all styrene butadiene and styrene acrylate latex technologies sold by its Emulsion Polymers business into the paper & paperboard, carpet and performance latex industries by 120 Euro/MT (dry) in Europe, India, Middle East and Africa.

The price increase is an addition to previously announced actions and is critical to help to offset the rising costs of transportation, energy, and the raw materials needed to produce our products.
