The Dow Chemical Company Increases Prices for Emulsion Polymers for Carpet in North America Midland, MI - May 27, 2008 Effective June 16, 2008, or as contracts permit, The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) is increasing prices by US$0.05/lb (dry) for all latex products sold by Dow Emulsion Polymers to customers in the United States and Canada serving the carpet industry. This is in addition to the US$0.04/lb increase announced by the business on May 16, 2008. The price increase is required to help offset the continued rising costs of hydrocarbons and raw materials such as benzene, styrene and butadiene used to manufacture products. About Dow
