The future of the United States depends on its ability to prepare the next generation to be innovators in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Yet far too few students are prepared for the challenges ahead. In 2010, Dow and more than 100 other companies joined forces to work with schools and communities to change the equation.

Launched by U.S. President Barack Obama, Change the Equation is dedicated to improving science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education for children, with a particular focus on girls and students of color, who have long been underrepresented in STEM fields.
