A leading global electronic procurement destination for Dow suppliers in the energy and petrochemical industries, Trade-Ranger has been the Internet marketplace Dow used for the purchase of maintenance, repair and operations equipment. Dow is approaching a major transition point in our journey to utilizes internet based tools & services offered by Trade Ranger/CCHubwoo (TR/CCH) for communicating our strategic indirect & non strategic purchases. Dow recently announced to TR/CCH leadership that Dow has elected to transition our eConnect e messaging services to Elemica & that the Dow eMart capabilities would be transitioned to my SAP. The decision to move from Trade Ranger / CCHubwoo to Elemica is based on our leadership vision to consolidate & simplify our internet connectivity to ONE market hub, Elemica. Based on these changes Dow will not renew our current agreement for another multi year period. Our goal is to transition all eConnect suppliers to Elemica by the end of 2007 & we will continue to utilize eMart until mySAP capabilities are rolled out.

Trade-Ranger has enabled Dow to connect buyers and suppliers in the upstream, downstream, chemical and retail sectors; collaborate with companies in implementing e-procurement strategies; and guide the development of industry-wide content and transaction standards. By using Trade-Ranger solutions, Dow and its suppliers have gained efficiencies and better resource utilization by electronically automating many processes that were currently manual and paper-based.
