Zavitz is responsible for corporate strategy and business performance for Supply Chain and Customer Service. In his corporate role, Zavitz is responsible for delivering against critical performance indicators including On-time Delivery, Days Sales in Inventory, Days Sales Outstanding and Customer Satisfaction. Zavitz leads Dow's strategy in using eBusiness in buying, selling and logistics processes. Dow's global operations require significant focus from Zavitz on compliance to international trade and regulatory agencies.

Zavitz is also leading implementation of Business Process Services, an operating unit within Dow's new Business Services Group. This group, which serves as the "operational arm" for the company, is aimed at providing higher consistency across work process execution and leveraging best practices across businesses and JVs. The Business Process Services Center supports end-to-end service delivery across many functions in the company including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay and limited Human Resource and Financial operations.

He currently sits on the Board of Elemica, the chemical industry's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) hub, as vice-chairman and chair of their Compensation Committee. Darrell also sits on the Sustainability Advisory Board to the Center for Resilience, The Ohio State University; and two non-profit boards including Michigan 2-1-1; and the United Way of Midland County.

His career at Dow has included global responsibilities for leading Dow's implementations of SAPĀ® and SiebelĀ®. In addition, Zavitz has served as director of IT for Dow Europe and for Dow's global Styrenics and Engineered products business group, headquartered in Horgen, Switzerland.

Zavitz is a graduate of the University of Guelph in Guelph, Canada.
