• nitrogen content (degree of substitution),
• viscosity (molar mass) and
• phlegmatizer / stabiliser (wetting/damping agent or plasticiser).

All three of these features are indicated in the product nomenclature. For example:

WALSRODER™ Nitrocellulose E 560 Isopropanol 30%

WALSRODER™ Nitrocellulose = brand name

E = substitution range (nitrogen content)

560 = viscosity index

Isopropanol = damping agent

30% = damping agent content
