Grades of METHOCEL and WALOCEL cellulose ethers are available with delayed solubility for better performance where cold water dispersibility is needed. In dry-mix systems, METHOCEL and WALOCEL products ensure fast hydration for reliable performance.

METHOCEL and WALOCEL cellulose ethers greatly improve water retention, significantly extending working time. Higher water retention allows gypsum in the mix to fully hydrate and develop high mechanical strength; the improved plasticity gives a smooth "feel" that users appreciate, while eliminating sagging.
- Enhanced Final Properties
Materials that contain METHOCEL and WALOCEL cellulose ethers resist shrinkage and crack formation and dry with a homogenous surface. Through increased water retention they enhance bonding, especially to highly absorbent surfaces. DLP polymer powders further increase bonding strength.
