Three polymer chemistry choices cover a wide range of formulation variables. Complying with FDA and USP/NF requirements, these products have been used in pharmaceuticals for decades. They are essentially tasteless, colorless, odorless, nonionic, and noncaloric. This unusual combination of properties makes them useful for pharmaceutical formulations.
These products meet the requirements of the Food Chemicals Codex, the International Codex Alimentarius and/or US Pharmacopoeia (USP) or National Formulary (NF). Premium cellulose ether products can also meet the requirements of Japanese, British, and European Pharmacopoeias.
