Investing in the communities where Dow operates is a priority for our company. The DowGives community outreach program provides an avenue for two priority giving activities for Dow – employee volunteerism and funding community needs through grants. The objective is to make the Delaware Valley a better place to live and work.
The three Delaware Valley Community Advisory Committees (CAC), open forums for community and company representatives, assist in determining a key DowGives grant. Offered in the spring, each CAC is responsible for identifying qualified recipients by requesting proposals, evaluating applications, and ultimately selecting grants from the winning non-profit organizations at each site. Each Dow location has community need priorities that the grants support.
Annual grant application periods will be publicized in the local communities where Dow operates. Please visit the Bristol, PA, Newark, DE, and Spring House, PA, websites for more information.
DowGives goes beyond grants and also promotes the involvement of our many employee volunteers. Their offer of time, energy and talents extends the reach of Dow’s giving and support in our communities.
