Dow Impact Fall 2011

Every day people at Dow harness the power of chemistry to make the world safer, cleaner and greener for generations to come. The approximately two thousand people who work at Dow in the Delaware Valley play a significant role to advance chemistry that betters our lives and contribute to the quality of life in the tri-state area and our local communities.

Dow became a citizen of the Delaware Valley community in 2009 when it acquired the Rohm and Haas Company, which began operating here in 1909 with the opening of the Philadelphia Office.

Today, there are four Dow facilities in Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania that invent and make products that go into computers, paint, household cleaners like floor polish, and repair materials like caulk that we use every day. Philadelphia is also the headquarters for one of Dow's strategic growth divisions, Dow Advanced Materials.
