John Dearborn is Vice President of the Ras Tanura Integrated Project (RTIP), a proposed joint venture by Dow and Saudi Aramco, each a global leader in its respective industry. Upon completion in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, this unprecedented project would be among the world’s largest petrochemical facilities. Dearborn is the Dow senior executive leading the project and is based in the Middle East.

In 2001, Dearborn joined Dow as Business Vice President for the Technology Licensing and Catalyst Business and served on the board of Univation Technologies LLC, a technology joint venture between Dow and ExxonMobil Chemical. From 2004 to 2007, Dearborn held various leadership positions in Dow’s Hydrocarbons and Energy business. In 2006, he assumed the leadership for Dow’s negotiations on the proposed joint venture with Saudi Aramco and in 2007, Dearborn added responsibilities as President - India, Middle East & Africa (IMEA) for Dow. Named to his current role as Vice President of the Ras Tanura Integrated Project (RTIP) for Dow in December 2008, Dearborn complements his leadership experience with over 25 years of chemical, general management, and project execution expertise.

Dearborn is a member of Dow’s Management Committee. Additionally, Dearborn is a member of the board of EQUATE Petrochemical Company KSC, a Kuwait-based Dow joint venture and MEGlobal BV, a Dubai, UAE headquartered Dow joint venture. Both ventures are with Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) of Kuwait.

Dearborn is a chemical engineer by training with a B.E. and M.E. from the Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey and an M.B.A. in Finance and International Business from New York University, Stern School of Business in New York.
