March 2011
Valued Supplier,
At Dow, we’re proud of our Values of Integrity, Respect for People and Protecting Our Planet. These values set the foundation for everything we do, including how we conduct business and with whom. We have high standards and intentionally choose to do business with suppliers who share these values and sense of global responsibility.
Dow is a recognized leader in raising the standard of responsible business practices. We are a signator to the United Nations Global Compact and actively participate in Responsible Care®. Dow’s 2015 Sustainability Goals embody our commitment to human progress and enhancing the quality of life for current and future generations.
With our large global footprint, we recognize that we have a responsibility to manage our business sustainably and with integrity, helping to hold ourselves and our suppliers to high standards of behavior. This means complying with all applicable laws and regulations. We are asking you to join us in adopting these values and practices, not only because of what it says about you, but because of the strong foundation that it sets as we work together to achieve sustainable and successful business results.
To help, we are excited to announce the launch of a Dow Code of Business Conduct for Suppliers with a video message from Dave Kepler, Chief Sustainability Office for Dow, and Paula Tolliver, Vice President of Procurement. This Code clearly articulates the basic principles for supplier conduct when working with Dow. We will have discussions with you as needed to foster adherence to these principles and have posted a Frequently Asked Questions document for your reference.
I look forward to the benefits that this new Code will bring to our planet, our people and our business relationship—as well as its contributions to our mutual success!
Sincerely,
Paula Tolliver
Vice President Procurement
