HEUR Technology for Improved Coating Properties & pH-Responsive Thickening

A look at how ACID SUPPRESSION™ Technology allows HEUR rheology modifiers with high thickening efficiency to be produced with low as-supplied viscosity, allowing paint formulators to easily introduce the material into their paint manufacturing operations without the need for VOC contributing organic solvents. Transfer of thermal energy in industrial settings can lead to a variety of issues including heat loss from processing equipment and piping, higher energy usage, worker safety problems from contact with hot or cold surfaces, and associated costs. In addition to these complications, traditional insulation methods involving thick layers of insulation can hide severe maintenance problems such as corrosion under insulation (CUI). This presentation will explore an alternative option with a look at the formulation and application properties of thermal insulation coatings based on waterborne acrylic and epoxy resins.
