Jose Maria Bermudez is the Latin America General Manager for Dow Coating Materials.
Jose Maria joined Rohm and Haas Company in 1989, and has held increasing levels of reponsibility in a variety of roles, including Quality Engineer Apizaco Plant, Mexico, HR Manager, Rohm and Haas Mexico, Mexico, Account Manager Paper & Graphic Arts, Mexico, HR Regional Director LAR, Miami, FL, HR role plus Country Manager Rohm and Haas Mexico, Mexico City, Country Manager Mexico plus CIS Business Manager, Mexico City, and LAR General Manager, Paint and Coatings Materials, Mexico City and most recently, Operations, Human Resources, Sales and General Management.
In 2006, Mr. Bermudez became the Latin American Region General Manager for Paint and Coatings Materials. Then in 2007 the Latin American Regional (LAR) Director position was added to his role. In this role, Mr. Bermudez was responsible for the executiion of the company's growth plans in the Latin American Region. He was appointed a Vice President of Rohm and Haas Company in September 2007.
He received a BS in Chemical Engineering at University of Las Americas Mexico, an MS in Quality Management at Tampa College, Florida, USA, and a Master in Business Administration at Vanderbilt University, USA.
Mr. Bermudez resides in Mexico City with his family.
