Lot/Batch Numbering System
Procedures are established for assigning and applying standard lot numbers (also referred to as batch numbers) to all caustic soda solution produced in Dow’s Chlor-Alkali manufacturing facilities. Lot numbers are used to assure that individual production batches of material can be traced from the time of production through final sale to the customer. A typical lot number will provide information on the year, month, date (day of the month), geographic region, plant facility and specific storage tank of the lotted caustic soda solution.
