Dow's terminals and production locations offer flexibility for caustic soda shipping, with the capability to transport caustic soda solution by tank truck, tank car, or barge. Each of Dow’s global caustic soda manufacturing locations are ISO 9001:2000 certified. ISO 9001:2000 certification status means that Dow not only meets rigid international standards for quality production methods, but that quality assurance systems are validated by regular external audits.

Caustic soda, also known as sodium hydroxide, is widely used for many chemical and industrial processes including pulp and paper products, textiles, soaps and detergents, bleach, petroleum refining, the production of alumina, along with many other uses in the chemical processing industry (CPI).
