Construction Managers/Specialists >

Construction Managers/Specialists participate in the building and expansion of Dow’s global manufacturing facilities. They lead construction safety efforts and implement construction quality control programs to minimize project costs.

Design Engineering
Civil/Structural Engineers >

Civil/Structural Engineers are engaged from the project development and conceptual feasibility phases, to design and procurement, and through to the construction and inspection of chemical process facilities around the world.

Electrical Engineers >

Electrical Engineers are responsible for monitoring and improving processes and equipment to enhance efficiency and maximize plant productivity while ensuring safety in chemical production facilities as well as Dow's power generation, rectification and distribution systems. They also develop safe, reliable and cost effective electrical designs for the building of new production facilities.

Instrument Engineers >

Instrument Engineers are the “eyes and ears” of process plants, monitoring and controlling the production process. They are also engaged in the selection, purchase and installation of instrumentation to ensure optimal performance of Dow’s process plants around the globe.

Mechanical Engineers >

Mechanical Engineers within the Design Engineering sub-function are involved in the design, application and procurement of mechanical and vessel equipment found in Dow petrochemical process facilities around the globe.

Piping Engineers >

Piping Engineers perform pipe stress analysis, provide piping material specifications, or oversee the successful completion of the piping portion of capital projects.

Improvement Engineers >

Improvement Engineers partner closely with Manufacturing Engineers to implement small- to mid-range capital improvements in our facilities. They draw on their expertise and manufacturing skills to identify improvements which deliver the most value.

Maintenance/Reliability Engineers >

Maintenance/Reliability Engineers are responsible for day-to-day troubleshooting and failure analysis of plant equipment. They also implement long-term equipment upgrades to keep our facilities running efficiently.

Manufacturing Representatives >

Manufacturing Representatives are liaisons between the operating units and a capital project team, ensuring implementation of the best technologies during project work.

Process
Process Engineers >

Process Engineers are focused on solutions – from the design of new facilities and additions to existing ones to the analysis and improvement of process performance. They play a critical role in ensuring that our manufacturing facilities operate at the highest levels of safety, environmental, cost and quality performance.

Process Automation and Control Engineers >

Process Automation and Control Engineers are responsible for developing and implementing the logic used to operate Dow’s world class manufacturing facilities.

Process Safety Engineers >

Process Safety Engineers combine their engineering skills with a unique collection of tools and methodologies to deliver process safety technology used for plant improvement and new process facility projects across Dow.

Project Management
Project Controls >

The Project Controls group supports Dow’s multi-billion dollar, world-wide capital program from initial feasibility and conception to completion of construction and actual plant start-up. The group provides professional experience and expertise in the areas of project cost estimation, planning and scheduling, change management, outsourcing support, feasibility studies, quantity surveying, cost management, and risk analysis.

Project Engineer/Manager >

The Project Engineer/Manager leads the delivery of engineering and construction expertise to successfully execute Dow’s capital and expense projects. Project engineers guide the engineering team through the design, procurement and construction phases as well as provide leadership in the overall planning and organization of project execution.

Manufacturing (Production) Engineers >

Manufacturing (Production) Engineers are responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and operation of production units. They ensure that our products meet quality specifications and are made in a safe manner, when they are needed, by drawing on their engineering expertise. They work closely with process operators on both short-term and long-term improvements of our production units.
