M&E Internship Program
Our internship program is aimed at university or college students who are in their sophomore or junior year. The internship program is typically in the summer.
Requirements:
- Register with the co-op office at your university or college
- Major in one of the disciplines from which Dow M&E hires, primarily Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering
- Maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 2.7 or better
- Agree to work on an alternating term basis with no more than 50 percent of work terms in the summer.
- Provide your own transportation to and from work location
- As required by law, the Company employs only U.S. citizens and foreign nationals authorized to work in the United States when filling U.S. positions
M&E Alternating Term Co-Op Program
The Alternating Term Co-Op program is a collaboration between Dow and universities or colleges with programs that allow students to alternate between periods of study and paid work assignments while working toward a degree.
Requirements:
- Register with the co-op office at your university or college

Typical Student Assignments
The projects that will be assigned to you as a co-op will increase in challenge and responsibility as you progress in the program. You’ll have assignments in different locations and take on different roles, leading up to your last assignment which will be a project that a full-time new hire could work on at Dow. You will be prepared for a full time role with Dow upon graduation. You’ll have the opportunity to gain a unique experience that will help accelerate your full-time career.
Daily interaction with a technical mentor/leader who will assist you if you have any questions during your project. You’ll also interact with various stakeholders – operators and other staff members – in the department where you work who will be leveraging the results from your work.
Weekly updates with your leader discussing progress so that the leader can help you address any roadblocks or provide assistance. You’ll be involved in department meetings that occur so that you can see how your project fits into the work of the department.
