Commercial Development Program
New college graduates selected for Dow's Commercial Development Program will participate in a variety of account management experiences designed to build skills and familiarize you with the resources available to help you manage Dow's relationships with our customers representing several millions of dollars of business.
Account managers at Dow cultivate and grow existing customer relationships and implement strategies to forge new customer relationships. They serve as "solution consultants" to Dow's global customer base. They work closely with customers to better understand their business goals, application requirements and manufacturing environments. Account managers match Dow's many and varied solutions to our customers' needs to create value for both our customers and for Dow.
Dow account managers work in a business-to-business (B2B) sales environment. Customer contact occurs at all levels within the customer organizations: executive decision makers, application development, manufacturing, marketing and purchasing.
Duration of Program
Six-month training beginning mid-June and ending early December. Location is Dow Headquarters in Midland, Michigan.

We prefer candidates with a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, business or marketing. Other degree holders may also be considered.

Finance Development Program for Accountants
The Finance Development Program for Accountants provides new Finance employees multiple job assignments in the early years of their Dow career as well as a diverse and varied working knowledge of Dow’s Finance organization. Full-time employees participating in this program will be assigned to challenging positions in the Controllers and Corporate Audit organizations. These positions will provide exposure to best practices, processes and state of the art systems that allow Dow employees to work effectively on a global scale. The program is designed to help employees develop and strengthen critical competencies through structured training, substantive rotational assignments and interaction with supervisors, peers and functional leadership. Assignments vary and will complement the new hire’s prior experiences and background. There is no defined sequence to the rotations and the potential areas for assignment include but are not limited to: Cost Accounting and Business Services Finance, Corporate Auditing, Financial and Statutory Accounting, Finance Systems Group and Transactional Accounting Processes.

Human Resources Rotational Development Program
If you are a recent graduate with a talent and passion for designing and implementing people management processes that bring out the best in people, then you'll want to consider joining the Dow Human Resources Rotational Assignments Program. This program provides grounding in several key HR areas and, at the same time, gives participants insight into the global Dow organization and culture through challenging assignments and broad exposure to all levels of the HR function.
Currently, formal HR Rotational Programs exist in Dow North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Duration of Program
The duration of the HR Rotational Program is approximately three years with rotations through at least three different HR assignments.

Assignments During the Program
Assignments in the HR Rotational Program are not only designed to provide foundational knowledge and experiences for a successful career at Dow, but are also value-added and deliver meaningful contribution to the business.
A potential first assignment could be in our Workforce Planning group where you could help with the identification and selection of the best talent for Dow. Next, you could move to an assignment in Compensation where you could help set the salary structure for a site by conducting an analysis of the local market. You could then move to an assignment in Talent Management where you could help in the design and implementation of a global leadership development curriculum or work with employees to meet their relocation needs when they transfer to other countries through an assignment in Global Mobility. These are just a variety of possible rotational assignments through the HR Rotational Program.

Full-time Opportunities
The HR Rotational Program prepares employees for a successful career in Dow, opening the door to a wide range of diverse opportunities within the HR function. Upon completion of the HR Rotational Program, employees typically move into site HR Partner roles which provide opportunities to apply foundational learnings from rotational assignments, use core consultation skills, and allow employees to see how programs and offerings are implemented and put into practice.

MBA - Finance Leadership Development Program
The Finance Leadership Development Program provides MBA graduates who demonstrate outstanding leadership potential the opportunity to gain a broad set of experiences in Dow's Finance organization in the first 30 to 36 months of employment. The goal of this program is to develop leaders with the skills and experiences needed to excel and to contribute to our global organization. Development is provided through structured training, substantive rotational assignments and interaction with supervisors, peers and functional leadership.
Duration of Program
The program is structured to provide three to four rotational assignments over a 30 to 36 month timeframe.
Who we are looking for
We are seeking MBA graduates who demonstrate outstanding leadership potential and who have a business related concentration such as Finance, Economics or Business Strategy. The ideal candidate will have a Finance concentration and a minimum of five years of prior professional work experience.
Assignments During the Program
The program is designed to expose the participant to the Finance organization as a whole rather than a targeted area of concentration. There is no defined sequence to the rotations and the potential areas for assignment include Strategic Planning, Customer Financial Services, Controllers, Audit and Business Finance.
The rotational assignments will provide an introduction to Dow's global financial systems, procedures and policies, and Dow's business portfolios. The opportunity to interact with key leaders in the Finance organization is also an important aspect of this program. Participants in the Finance Leadership Development Program will be exposed to both foundational and innovative assignments that are challenging in nature. Program participants will also be provided targeted training designed to not only enhance technical skills but also skills in leadership and other global competencies.

The Treasury MBA Leadership Development Program provides opportunities to MBA graduates who are passionate about Treasury. Public Affairs Development Program
Dow's Public Affairs Development Program (PADP) allows participants to develop and enhance communication skills, gain valuable insight into the different communication roles and build networks in the function and across the company.
Duration of Program
The program is structured to provide three rotational assignments over a 12 to 18 month period.
Who we are looking for
Applicants for the Public Affairs Development Program should have degrees in journalism, communication, public relations, marketing, advertising, business or related disciplines. You also should have prior relevant work experience, such as internships.
Assignments During the Program
Assignments include challenging projects to develop well-rounded Public Affairs professionals and enhance career potential. Participants in the program contribute to local, national, regional and global projects, and may even have the opportunity to work in different Dow locations.

Research Assignments Program
Dow's Research Assignments Program (RAP) offers new Ph.D. scientists and engineers an exciting opportunity to explore different areas of industrial research and development in a two-year rotational training program at the beginning of their career.
Of the approximately 6,000 people working in R&D, hundreds of Dow scientists and managers started their careers on the Research Assignments Program which has been in existence since 1982. RAP offers talented graduates with a high degree of initiative the opportunity to rapidly gain knowledge of Dow's technologies, products and processes and build a broad network of professional contacts across the company.
Duration of Program
New employees spend 24 months in a training program with no more than three assignments – 12 months with the sponsoring organization and two subsequent six-month assignments; the selection of which is guided so that the employee gains relevant experience/training that will be useful once they begin their non-rotating position after they complete the RAP.
Who we are looking for
This program is for recent PhDs or post-doctorate candidates with little to no industrial research experience in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related areas. The ideal candidate is someone who seeks to continuously learn and apply technical knowledge to create innovative solutions. RAP is offered in the United States, China and Europe.
Assignments During the Program
RAP participants may be aligned to any Dow business. Assignments are designed to provide the new employee with experiences that are both beneficial to the individual as well as the sponsoring business.
RAP participants will be based at one of Dow's larger sites, but are encouraged (not required) to complete at least one assignment away from their base.

- Core R&D Materials Science in Midland, Michigan (12 months with sponsoring group)
- Dow Water and Process Solutions in Edina, Minnesota (6 months)
- Dow Energy Storage Materials in Midland, Michigan (6 months)
Full-time Opportunities
Upon completion of the three assignments, RAP employees are typically placed in a non-rotating position with their sponsoring business.
