Dow Canada President Reaffirms Commitment to Responsible Care®

September 13, 2010

In February, Dow Canada's President Jack Broodo reaffirmed Dow Canada's commitment to Responsible Care® by signing the 2010 Attestation statement.

"We are committed to ensure we meet the standards of Responsible Care at our sites" said, Jack Broodo, President of Dow Chemical Canada ULC.  "This includes our focus on environmental, health and safety performance and our continued efforts to ensure open dialogue with the public about our activities and our achievements."

Dow Canada will be undergoing reverification in early December.  The last reverification was conducted in 2007.  The results of that reverifcation can be found in both official languages by clicking here.

Responsible Care is the chemistry industry's commitment to sustainability - the betterment of society, the environment and the economy. Its ethic and principles compel companies to innovate for safer and more environmentally friendly products and processes, and to work cooperatively to identify and eliminate harm throughout the entire life cycle of their products. As an active participant in the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada's Responsible Care initiative, Dow's commitment to its communities and the environment is a part of everything it does and every decision it makes.
