Community Involvement
At Dow Canada, we believe our decision-making process is improved by involving the community. This is why we have organized a Community Advisory Panel (CAP) for the Fort Saskatchewan site. Our joint venture partner, MEGlobal is a co-sponsor. Members represent a broad cross-section of local interests including health, education, civic, youth and our near neighbours.
The Fort Saskatchewan CAP meets five times a year. A two-way dialogue is facilitated between site management and local stakeholders. Based on the CAP’s feedback, concerns are solved before they become issues. Our relationship with the CAP enables us to build trust, cooperation and mutual respect between the company and the community.
