Business Services is comprised of four Operating Units that provide optimized service capabilities that include:
- Business Process Service Center - Delivers services that are location independent, and typically repetitive and procedural in nature
- Project and Support Centers - Executes strategic projects to create new or improve existing work processes, services or IT systems
- Asset Operations - Serves as interface and provides site-based services that require physical link to assets such as IT data centers, field equipment services and rail assets
- Consulting and Expertise Services - Delivers functional expertise and consulting
- Communications - Support from leading communications experts that may include translation services, video productions and other general internal and external communication needs
- Customer Services - Support with core transactional-based activities like, order/payment receipt and handling, order readiness and price administration
- EH&S/Sustainability - Holistic implementation of ES&S/EH&S delivery, environmental technology center support, health services and toxicology
- Information Systems - Award-winning operations that include infrastructure services, Enterprise Application Services, IT project delivery and support
- Lab and Office Facilities Management - Critical resources like furniture, fixtures, office equipment and amenities
- Purchasing - Foundational support in strategic sourcing, purchasing transactions and payables management
- Supply Chain - Best-in-class capabilities like business planning, scheduling, reporting and transactions management
