Worldwide sponsor of the Olympic Games until 2020, Dow inaugurated the Rio de Janeiro office in September 2011. The purpose of the new office is to increase business opportunities focusing on the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. Additionally, the company wants to be closer to the production chain and solutions distribution to the oil and gas industry.
Dow's new office in Rio de Janeiro is located in one of the largest corporate buildings in Brazil: Torre Rio Sul, in Botafogo.
