Kenneth Littel is Marketing Manager, Material Protection, for Dow Biocides. In his role, he is responsible for leading the marketing strategy development and implementation of biocides for materials protection, including paint and coatings, building materials, emulsion polymers, inks, pigment slurries, adhesives, wood products and personal care products.

Ken started his career as a research microbiologist and marketing specialist development chemist for Packard Instrument Company, a subsidiary of Perkin Elmer, in Meridian, Conn. In 1986, he became a research microbiologist for Abbott Laboratories in Libertyville, Ill., and in 1988, joined Dow Biocides as a product manager for biocides in coatings, adhesives, paper and lubricant industries. Since then, Ken has served various roles within Dow, including market development manager and an international director of sales and marketing for India, where he managed pharmaceutical intermediate sales. Most recently, Ken was a senior manager for new business development, conducting exploratory market investigations to identify and commercialize significant new business platforms.

Ken has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana, a master’s degree in microbiology from Iowa State University, Ames, and a master’s in business administration from DePaul University, Chicago.
