James Thong

James Thong is the regional commercial manager for Asia Pacific for Dow Biocides and ANGUS Chemical Company. In his position, he is responsible for coordinating all business efforts in the Asia-Pacific region and providing administrative and business leadership for all employees in the Singapore customer application center.

James joined Dow from Union Carbide (UCC) in 1993 as a technical sales executive. James was a product manager and sales manager within specialty product and polymers. In 2001, he became sales manager for industrial performance product (IPC). Prior to the UCC merger with The Dow Chemical Company, James was a part of the UCC-optimal integration team. Most recently, James was made senior account manager for basic and performance chemicals.

James received his bachelor of applied science (honours) degree in analytical chemistry from the University of Science in Malaysia.
