The table below lists the key products in the ANGUS paint and coatings portfolio:
| Product |
Chemistry |
Value |
Description |
| AMP-95™ |
Amino Alcohol
(2-Amino-2-methyl-1-propanol. Contains 5% water) |
One of the flagship products from ANGUS, it serves as a highly efficient, multifunctional co-dispersant and neutralizer that offers low volatility, low odor, low color, a good toxicity profile and primary amine functionality, among many other benefits. |
Liquid |
| AEPD™ |
Amino Alcohol
(2-Amino-2-Ethyl-1,3-Propanediol) |
An efficient pigment dispersant which provides excellent properties in slurries used for coatings. Improved rheology, pH stability, low odor, and increased color acceptance with universal colorants can be achieved with AEPD as the primary dispersant. |
Solid at 25°C |
| DMAMP-80™ |
Amino Alcohol
(80% 2-Dimethylamino-2-Methyl-1-Propanol + 20% water) |
DMAMP-80 often serves as a neutralizer for carboxyl resins in coatings, and can be very effective as a resin solubilizer. It provides efficient pH development, fast dry time, reduced yellowing, stability with melamine resins, improved gloss and low odor. |
Liquid |
| TRIS AMINO™ Crystals |
Amino Alcohol
(tris(hydroxymethyl) aminomethane) |
Used as a resin neutralizer and pH buffer, TRIS AMINO offers an excellent safety profile and a long history of safe industrial use. It is very attractive for water-based resin-containing coatings systems such as paints and inks where it can serve as an alternative to traditional volatile alkaline agents, helping to meet various VOC restrictions. |
Solid |
| AVANTANE™ PA 4000 |
Nitroparaffin |
Used for solvent-based retrogravure and flexographic printing and thinners. It improves color development of ink through enhanced pigment dispersion, promotes excellent print definition, improves quality issues associated with less than optimal solvent release, and enhances adhesion to substrates. |
Liquid |
| FLEXITANE™ CA 6000 |
Nitroparaffin |
For solvent-based systems, wetting agents and pigment dispersions, FLEXITANE CA 6000 improves film integrity and reduces craters and pinholes. It also offers a faster cure time. |
Liquid |
| ALKATERGE™ T |
Oxazolidine |
An excellent aid for the dispersion of pigments. It may be used either as an additive to improve the wetting of pigments by poorly wetting resins, or as the sole dispersing agent for the production of pigment slurries in nonaqueous solvents. |
Solid |
| ZOLDINE™ MS PLUS |
Oxazolidine
(3-ethyl-2-methyl-2-(3-methylbutyl)-1, 3-oxazolidine) |
ZOLDINE MS-PLUS is a fast-reacting, low viscosity, oxazolidine-based moisture scavenger for use in moisture-sensitive coatings, sealants and elastomers. It safely and effectively eliminates moisture from raw materials in your formulation and provides humidity control in the application environment. |
