ANGUS Makes Leadership Changes at Sterlington Site
Sterlington, LA - August 27, 2009 ANGUS Chemical Company (ANGUS), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company (Dow), announces leadership changes at the Company’s Sterlington, Louisiana manufacturing site. Ernest Green has been named Sterlington site leader, replacing current site leader Karen Kay. Ernest will be adding this new role to his more than 20 years of experience with the Sterlington facility and Nitroparaffin operations and maintenance. In a related move, Karen Kay has assumed the role of manufacturing director for Performance Materials, a business of The Dow Chemical Company, which includes the ANGUS site and a number of manufacturing facilities around the globe. “Ernest has consistently delivered results in the many roles he has filled, and has worked to grow and develop his teams along the way,” said Karen Kay. “His detailed understanding of both the ANGUS technology and the site's critical management systems will serve him well.” Ernest began his career with ANGUS in 1986, and has held a number of different roles, including electrical and instrumentation (E&I) maintenance, E&I engineering, general maintenance and production leader. He has a deep understanding of ANGUS technology and the Sterlington site’s critical management systems. Prior to joining ANGUS, Ernest worked for General Electric Company as a field service engineer for five years. Ernest holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Louisiana Tech University.
