ANGUS Introduces NITROFUEL Grades To Meet New NHRA Requirements
Buffalo Grove, IL - January 21, 2005 ANGUS Chemical Company, the leading manufacturer of nitroalkane-based chemicals, is introducing two new grades of its NITROFUELTM brand racing nitromethane to meet the racing fuel requirements recently announced by the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). NITROFUEL 96 Racing Nitromethane is available for use with all non-supercharged single-engine, nitromethane combinations where the nitromethane content is restricted to a maximum of 96 percent. NITROFUEL 85 Racing Nitromethane is for use in the Top Fuelers and Funny Car categories where the maximum percentage of nitromethane used is 85 percent. ANGUS will also continue to supply NITROFUEL 90 Racing Nitromethane. “We are excited to be able to supply new NITROFUEL grades of ready-blended nitromethane and methanol to immediately meet the new criteria recently set by the NHRA,” said Nanette Hermsen, marketing manager for ANGUS racing fuels. “With more than 40 years experience in supplying the racing circuit with our NITROFUEL products, we are confident that our new products will continue to deliver high value performance to racing drivers.” ANGUS produces NITROFUEL at its plant in Sterlington, Louisiana.
