Dow Announces Price Increase for UCAR Aircraft Deicing Fluids Midland, MI - March 18, 2005 Effective April 20, 2005, or as contracts permit, The Dow Chemical Company will increase off-list prices for propylene glycol-based UCAR™ Aircraft Deicing Fluids. The increases will be as follows:
"These price increases are necessary due to market conditions resulting from the unprecedented energy, raw materials, and logistics scenario in which we find ourselves," said Kristi Wolohan, Market Manager, UCAR Aircraft Deicing/Anti-Icing Fluids. "While we have considered our customers' desire for price stability and we understand the cost pressures that the aviation industry is experiencing, the extraordinary market conditions that we face leave us no choice but to address the situation.
