A Commitment to Excellence
Dow entered the Egyptian market in the 1970’s by establishing a commercial office. As demands in the country and the regions continued to grow, Dow invested further by inaugurating the country’s first Polyurethane System House, based in the 10th of Ramadan City in 1997.

Strategically located in City Stars Complex in Cairo, the office represents six key Dow businesses, namely Basic Plastics, Performance Plastics and Formulated Systems, and market facing units such as Dow Oil & Gas, Dow Coating Solutions and more.
- Dow Mideast Systems
Through the Dow PU System House, the company provides manufacturing, technical services and development, and quality control. This translates to customized solutions and excellence in performance to customers through an ever growing portfolio. Our customer base covers a variety of industries from infrastructure, to oil & gas, to household goods.
A Commitment to the Community
Dow believes that the health of its business is intertwined with the health of the communities in which it operates. Dow actively supports the social and economic aspirations of these communities and enables their success by forging alliances with non-profit organizations through educational programs, training and multicultural exposure.
Among its initiatives, Dow supports Habitat for Humanity’s “Building a Better Future” project, to provide needy families with new homes and clean water. Furthermore, Dow has partnered with HFH to research and pilot a housing prototype using low cost technologies.
Dow is also a member of Partners for a New Beginning (PNB), an organization committed to the common goal of building public-private partnerships in Muslim communities around the world to advance economic opportunity, advances in science & technology, education, and exchange to help advance President Obama’s Cairo vision.
