AFFINITY GA POPs can be compounded or blended with other plastics to improve flow, flexibility, adhesion, and mechanical properties – producing highly differentiated materials for use in many applications. And they can do this without the unwanted side effects other flow modifiers may cause.

When modifying the flow and flexibility of styrene ethylene butylene styrene (SEBS) and thermoplastic vulcanites (TPVs), AFFINITY GA POPs enable you to achieve the lubricity of wax or oil modifiers without overriding concerns about brittleness or blooming to the surface.

Masterbatch Carriers
High filler loading capabilities make AFFINITY GA POPs extremely efficient and cost-effective carriers for hard-to-load colors and/or additives. They also preserve the integrity of temperature-sensitive additives—AFFINITY GA 1900 POP has a melting point of 154ºF (68ºC), while AFFINITY GA 1950 POP melts at 158ºF (70ºC).

Adhesion Enhancers
As tie-layers in multi-laminate structures such as non-wovens and films1, AFFINITY GA POPs offer improved adhesion along with excellent flexibility and toughness. They can be used alone, blended with other polymers, or even spun into a web.

When used in the binder systems of thermoplastic road paints, they help to enhance adhesion, durability, and retro reflectivity, especially in colder climates.

Powder Injection Molding
With their unique combination of high loading capabilities, easy processing, and clean burning, AFFINITY GA POPs create new net shape forming possibilities at extremely low costs when used as carriers for metal and ceramic injection molding applications.
