Dow Announces Price Increase for Acrylates in All Regions

The Dow Chemical Company and its affiliates (“Dow”) have announced price increases for acrylic acid and esters (“acrylates”) effective October 1, 2006, or as otherwise allowed by individual contract terms.

Dow will increase prices for glacial acrylic acid, butyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, methyl acrylate and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate:

  • in North America by $0.10 per pound.
  • in Asia Pacific by US$220 per metric ton.
  • in Middle East/Africa by US$220 per metric ton.
  • in Latin America by US$220 per metric ton.

In Europe, Dow will increase selling prices by 150 Euros per metric ton for glacial acrylic acid, butyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate and methyl acrylate and by 200 Euros per metric ton for 2-ethylhexyl acrylate.
