Dow Announces Price Increase for Acrylates in MEAF and Pacific Midland, MI - May 16, 2006 Due to increasing raw materials costs and the resulting need to improve margins, The Dow Chemical Company and its affiliates (“Dow”) has announced a price increase for acrylic acid and esters (“acrylates”), effective June 1, 2006. Dow will increase selling prices for Acrylates in the Middle East/Africa and in Asia Pacific by US$90 per metric ton, or as otherwise allowed by individual contract terms. Products included in this increase are glacial acrylic acid, butyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, methyl acrylate and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate.
