Dow Announces Additional Increases to Acrylate Esters Pricing

Danbury, CT - February 28, 2003

In response to recent significant increases in raw material and energy costs, The Dow Chemical Company today announced that, effective March 15, 2003, the company will increase selling prices for Butyl Acrylate, Ethyl Acrylate and 2-Ethylhexyl Acrylate by US $0.07 per pound in the United States and Canada, Euro 140 per metric ton in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and by US $150 per metric ton in Latin America and the Pacific, or as otherwise allowed by individual contract terms. This increase is in addition to the previously announced price increase effective March 1, 2003.
